This site was originally done to list the varying
custom (user made) tracks people used to race in multiplayer,
so that every new person that came along could be easily
pointed here to download the tracks needed to race.
That's where the name of the site also came, as
Re-Volt was played in MSN Zone. Since then Microsoft
has dropped support for Re-Volt, and the revolting
shifted to GameSpy and recently to RV House.
The site has evolved quite a bit from those days,
and today lists probably the largest number of
custom tracks available for Re-Volt, including
those old tracks that were long unavailable after
the demise of Re-Volt HQ site (thanks to Antimorph for supplying these).
This site was designed primary as a resource for the Re-Volt
on-line multiplayer community and as such it continues. But
several of the features here no doubt benefit all Re-Volt fans.
In short some of the features of this site are:
Easy and fast search for tracks/authors
Possibility to comment and discuss with others about tracks
Two level sorting on the track listings
(just click the headers to sort the table differently,
click another time on the same header to reverse the sorting)
Possibility to give grades to tracks. That functions as a kind
of vote, so the final grade of the track depends on how different people
have voted on it.
Several different listings for tracks, including
listings of classic tracks, best graded tracks and tracks
with latest comments.
Possibility to create different themes/styles for this site. At
the moment only two are available, but if you want to create a new
one just e-mail it to me and I will add it to the Styles menu of
this site (if your style works that is ;)).
